As co-owner and Controller of Express Employment Professionals – Sarnia, Sue Burgel demonstrates leadership, integrity, and a strong commitment to her community. With more than 25 years of experience in accounting and management across retail, automotive, and manufacturing, Sue combines business expertise with a passion for people.
Since becoming an owner in 2022, she has worked tirelessly to strengthen both her business and the broader community. She actively serves on the SYC Finance Committee, the Chamber Governance Committee, Chamber Business after Five, the Jean Collective, and the Board of the Women's Interval Home. Through these roles, Sue has contributed to financial oversight, governance, advocacy, and community support, helping to create sustainable impact across Lambton County.
A two-time breast cancer survivor, Sue embodies resilience and inspires others through her perseverance and optimism. She believes in the power of connection and is passionate about helping employers and employees form meaningful, lasting relationships. Her dedication extends beyond business, as she consistently invests her time and energy in initiatives that support growth, empowerment, and care for others.
Sue's leadership, compassion, and commitment to community make her a strong and deserving nominee for the OBBA Chamber Member of the Year Award.
