This is humbling. I've been here before, awkwardly tooting my own horn, trying to claim an OBA award, and actually have come home with hardware!

No doubt I've been nominated because I play an active role in our community, supporting many non-profits.

a. 19 years of giving space to St Joseph's Hospice Dancing Under the Stars gala. 700 guests, 125 volunteers. 2024 gain for Hospice $219,000.

b. About 12 years of hosting Lambton County Developmental Service for Fusion fundraising Food and Wine event. (2024, $75,000)

c. 20 years hosting a Dipladenia plant event benefiting Rayjon ShareCare, netting approx $20,000 per year.

d. 3 potting soil sale event in cooperation with Rotary Club, benefitting supportive housing.

e. Since 2022, playing a lead role in pursuing 150 new supportive housing units in Sarnia.

f. Providing no cost space for SLCC to hold Business Showcase.

g. Host Sarnia Lambton Pickleball Club to play 6 courts in winter in our greenhouse.

h. Past or current Board member of several Boards and Committees including: Bluewater Health, Inn of Good Shepherd, Alzheimer's Society, World Renew, Sarnia Community Foundation, Rotary Club of Sarnia, Sarnia Christian School.

i. Write a weekly Garden Clippings column for the Sarnia Observer
